Akron Gynae 1

At the entry level, the Gynae 1 provides effective positioning for a variety of simple procedures. There is a choice of hydraulic or electric height operation. Backrest adjustment is power assisted and the seat section has a fixed tilt of 5 degrees. For this reason the seat extension cannot be fitted.

On the Gynae 1, leg supports are attached to the framework underneath the seat section. Adjustments are made for length, height and angle via a series of 'slide and lock' mechanisms for ease of use.

There is the option of choosing either a large wheel base or a retractable wheel base which is recommended for use in areas which the couch would remain in one position for the majority of the time.
